Top Ten (10) Favorite Movies of 2010

Below is a countdown list of my favorite movies of 2010. Mind you, this is not a list of movies that I believe are the best. Such a list would only be subjective anyway. So without further ado, here are my favorite movies of 2010:

TOP TEN (10) FAVORITE MOVIES OF 2010

10. "The Social Network" - Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake co-starred in this fascinating historical drama about the legal ramifications that surrounded the founding of Facebook. David Fincher directed.

9. "Kick Ass" - Matthew Vaughn directed this excellent adaptation of the Marvel comic story about an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so. Aaron Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong and Nicholas Cage starred.

8. "Robin Hood" - Ridley Scott directed Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in this origins tale about the legend of late 12th century outlaw, Robin Hood. Very entertaining.

7. "The Losers" - Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Zoe Saldana lead a cast in this exciting adaptation of the Vertigo comic series about a U.S. Special Forces team that seeks revenge against the CIA handler that betrayed them. Sylvain White directed.

6. "True Grit" - Joel and Ethan Coen directed this excellent adaptation of Charles Portis' novel about an Arkansas girl who recruits a U.S. marshal to hunt down the man who had killed her father. Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld starred.

5. "The A-Team" - This hilarious action film is based upon the NBC television series about a group of Green Berets that are imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. They escape and set out to clear their name. Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Sharlto Copely, Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson starred.

4. "The Town" - Ben Affleck directed and starred in this excellent adaptation of Chuck Hogan's novel, "Prince of Thieves" about Boston bank robbers. Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm co-starred.

3. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I" - David Yates directed this superb adaptation of the first half of J.K. Rowling's seventh and final HARRY POTTER novel. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson starred.

2. "Iron Man 2" - Robert Downey returned in this excellent sequel to the 2008 hit as playboy/billionaire Tony Stark aka Iron Man. In this, he deals with family demons, a demanding U.S. government and a vengeful Russian portrayed by Mickey Rourke. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Sam Rockwell co-starred.

1. "Inception" - Christopher Nolan wrote and directed what I consider to be one of the most unique films in recent history about a thief who uses dream invasion to steal and plant industrial secrets. Leonardo DiCaprio starred.

I'll go with the 'King's Speech,' 'Inception,' and of course, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Prt. 1.'

Those were some of my favorites this last year.

I haven't seen everything on your list but definitely enjoyed The Losers more than The A Team and Inception was in a class of its own. I wasn't sure about the The Town but was glad I gave it a chance but then I have some undercover love for Ben Affleck. I preferred Iron Man to Iron Man 2 but that could be because my copy was shite and quite a bit of it was in what looked like Russian with no subs! In any case, good list.

Great list. The King's Speech and True Grit are both fantastic movies and I was pleasantly surprised to see The A-Team as it was one of my favorites of the year. I quite liked Harry Potter too.
